It is the time of year that HR professionals start planning for 2022. Savvy HR leaders know that recognition is important enough that early planning and budgeting are important.
This is the most comprehensive list that we have developed to date. Many general health awareness dates have been included for two reasons: HR professionals use them in employee wellness communications, and I have discovered many healthcare marketing departments are using our list as well.
Since everybody gets recognized by someone at some point, I am sure there are omissions. Contact me and we will verify your submission and add it to the list.

National Activity Professionals Week January 23 – 29, 2022 was not included on your list.
Now it is. Thanks for the update.
Consider including National Women Physicians Day Feb 3rd
I did consider it and it is now included. It is a cool celebration. In verifying it, I learned that Feb. 3 is the birthday of Elizabeth Blackwell who was the first woman to attend medical school (in spite of her perceived genetic inferiority). She became the first woman physician. Today, women account for close to 40% of the physicians in this country.
You left out:
NATIONAL PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT WEEK – October 6-12,
World Plastic Surgery Day, July 15.
They are there….now, after your help! Thanks for the assist. About the time I retire this will be THE comprehensive list.
Missed Social Work Week March 6-12, 2022
Karen: It is actually School Social Work Week. March is Social Work Month. We included it since social work is part of healthcare regardless of where it occurs. Thanks for the update.
National Athletic Training Month is March. Athletic Trainers are Sports Medicine Professionals that provide medical care for athletic injuries to active populations – primarily high school, college, and professional athletes but sometimes firefighters, EMTs, factory workers, military service people, and more! Please consider adding them to your list.
Kaylee: We did (consider it) and thought it was a great suggestion. Thanks for the assist.
National Cancer Registrar’s Week – April 4-8
Since we are behind the scenes, no one really knows about us! 🙂
Thanks for the heads up. Behind the scenes no longer on this site!
